TODDLER FRIENDLY COOKIE RECIPE
Updated: Aug 10, 2018
These little oat cookies are just perfect for mini people... they are sugar free, full of all sorts of lovely goodness that actually taste as good as they look!
They are super simple and can be whipped up in no time at all. They should keep for a few days and seem to freeze ok.
I've used honey to sweeten them but I think you could probably miss that out if you're making them for under 12 months... I'm not sure what the rules are for baking with honey for babies to be honest. I know they say not to give it before 1 year, but does that still apply when cooking with it?! Who knows!
Anyways, here is the recipe -
Preheat oven to 175 and line some tins with parchment paper
Mash bananas in a bowl then add eggs, oats, coconut and honey. The mixture should be thick enough to roll into balls, if not, add more oats until it is.
Add your raisins to the bowl and mix well.
Shape into small, bite size balls and then flatten slightly onto your baking tray
Bake for 10-15 minutes
Let me know if you make them and what you think! Frank absolutely loves them, and they are just about sweet enough for me to enjoy them with a cuppa too.
Happy weekend All!
